Updated: 2024-03-26

A joint sci-tech innovation roadshow promoted by Hohhot city and Baotou city was held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on March 24.

To promote the transformation of sci-tech achievements of universities and institutes in the two cities, they plan to jointly serve a group of projects by exploring independent intellectual property rights, strong innovation capabilities, new business models, good market prospects, and industry integration.

At the roadshow, eight teams from universities and research institutes in Hohhot and Baotou showcased their research achievements, respectively. The projects included an intelligent online detection device for equipment lubrication and solid-state hydrogen storage technology for rare earths, demonstrating the innovative strength and development potential.

Among them, four projects are from Baotou, provided by institutions such as the Baotou Rare Earth Research Institute, Baogang Group, and Inner Mongolia BKJD Robot Co.

"We hope to use this event to connect with investment and financing institutions and companies in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain," said Dong Dawei, a participant in the roadshow and director of a low-carbon new material innovation center supported by Baotou and Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
