115 foreign trade companies resume work in Baotou
A total of 115 key foreign trade companies in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have all resumed work, according to a May 17 report in the Baotou Daily.
The companies cover areas including steel, equipment manufacturing, rare earth products and cashmere production.
Since the novel coronavirus epidemic, the production and operations of foreign trade enterprises in Baotou city have been generally affected.
The commerce bureau of Baotou established a working group for foreign trade-related enterprises for epidemic prevention and control, creating a scheduling system to monitor the resumption and production of businesses.
The bureau liaised with companies on policy support and made applications for the projects of foreign trade enterprises that met certain requirements.
The bureau has so far allocated a total of 946,300 yuan ($133,019) of funds for the development of international markets for SMEs involving a total of 28 projects.
