Key modern energy industry conference to debut on April 28
The first Modern Energy Industry Development Conference – with the theme of the Energy Revolution Under the Goal of Achieving Peak Carbon Dioxide Emissions and Carbon Neutrality – is set to open on April 28 in Baotou city, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Experts and academics from the energy field, heads of research institutions and leading new energy companies will gather in Baotou to discuss the development of modern energy in China.
At the 75th United Nations General Assembly in September 2020, China solemnly promised that its carbon dioxide emissions would reach a peak by 2030 and it would strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
With 2021 being the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), it is also a critical period for the implementation of the carbon peak and carbon neutral goals.
The first Modern Energy Industry Development Conference has reportedly attracted the attention of all sectors of society.
The event will adopt online and offline presentation modes. It is understood that more than 30 domestic mainstream media and social platforms will simultaneously broadcast the proceedings live.
