Baotou truck manufacturer makes new progress

Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock Co, a Baotou-based mine truck manufacturer, has been selected as one of the top 50 global construction machinery manufacturers, it was announced at a recent press conference.

The top 50 companies come from 13 countries including China, the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Sweden and South Korea.

The Baotou company ranked 48th on the list, up two places compared with 2020.

It is the ninth consecutive year the company has made the list.

Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock Co, or NHL, is a manufacturer specializing in the research and development, production and sale of off-highway mining trucks and their components in China.

Founded in 1988 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in June 2000, NHL is now a leading company in its field, according to analysts.

The company has the only national engineering research center for mining vehicles in China.

It is the lead unit of the Engineering Transportation Machinery Branch of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association and of the Mining Vehicle Branch of China Society of Automotive Engineers.

The company is also the lead compilation unit for national standards for mining vehicles, as well as being among China's first group of 54 top manufacturing demonstration enterprises.
