Baogang Group's ultra-low emission transformation project begins
Baogang Group, an iron and steel manufacturer based in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has started its ultra-low emission transformation project for 5 million metric tons of pellet belt roaster, according to Inner Mongolia Daily.
The project, one of Inner Mongolia's major energy conservation and environmental protection projects, marks the start of Baogang's energy-saving and carbon-reduction ultra-low emission transformation journey, represented by sintering desulfurization and denitrification transformation and gas-steam combined cycle power generation.
After the project is put into operation, it will greatly reduce pollutant emissions, create a new paradigm in Baotou's green transformation, and promote the improvement of the local environment.
This year, Baogang Group will implement 80 energy-saving and environmental protection projects, covering areas including waste gas treatment, wastewater treatment, comprehensive utilization of residual pressure and gas, solid waste disposal, resource utilization and ecological environment improvements.
