Baotou adds foreign trade transformation, upgrade base
The Qingshan District National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrade Base (Equipment Manufacturing) – located in Baotou city, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region – was recently approved by the Ministry of Commerce, according to local media reports.
A total of three bases in the autonomous region were included on the ministry's latest list of foreign trade transformation, upgrade bases.
The foreign trade transformation and upgrade base is an officially designed industrial agglomeration area combining production and trade.
The Qingshan district base is expected to further strengthen the export-oriented industrial base of Baotou and inject vitality into the stability of foreign trade and the high-quality development of trade in the city.
At present, in addition to the three newly identified bases, there are also 10 old bases in the autonomous region that have successfully passed assessment and certification of the Ministry of Commerce.
These foreign trade bases involve specialized chemicals, agricultural products, mechanical and electrical equipment, textiles and clothing, new materials and other industries.
