Baotou banner NEV charging station kicks off construction
Construction of an NEV or new energy vehicle charging station recently kicked off in Tumd Right Banner – administered by Baotou city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – according to a report in the Baotou Daily.
Over the next three years, the banner plans to build three central NEV charging stations and install more than 220 charging piles.
The aim is to establish an advanced, intelligent and efficient charging system that meets the growing demand for NEV charging.
Elsewhere in the region administered by Baotou city, groundbreaking has already taken place of a charging facility in the parking lot at the Dayantan Scenic Spot and another at the Meidaizhao Scenic Spot. The Dayantan site will offer 20 NEV charging piles, while the Meidaizhao facility will have 10.
The charging piles for the two scenic spots are expected to start operating on Aug 15.
