Baotou's rural e-commerce snatches $47.7m in transactions
Baotou, which is located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has built 187 e-commerce service sites, and the city's rural e-commerce transaction volume reached 308 million yuan ($47.68 million), according to the city's agriculture and animal husbandry bureau.
In order to increase the promotion of local agricultural product sales, Baotou city vigorously promotes the demonstration of e-commerce in rural areas, and has carried out various forms of popular e-commerce activities.
Up to now, a total of 13,000 people have participated in e-commerce related training sessions.
Local e-commerce brands have been cultivated in the form of a three-level e-commerce network service platform for cities, counties (banners) and towns (townships), and a four-level e-commerce logistics distribution system for cities, counties (banners) and villages.
At present, Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner is preparing its application for the 2021 E-commerce Project in Rural Demonstration Counties.
