Baotou projects win autonomous region level sci-tech awards
Two projects developed in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have won the autonomous region level scientific and technological progress awards, according to local media reports.
The first project, a solar energy cross-season storage, heating, air-conditioning and heating triple-supply system project stores solar energy collected in summer in a ground source energy storage well, and uses a heat pump unit to take out low-temperature heat in the winter to produce a higher temperature heat source for heating buildings and agricultural facilities.
Cross-season energy storage significantly increases the temperature of the soil, thereby increasing the efficiency of the heat engine while significantly reducing energy consumption and operating costs. It is an ideal solution for clean energy heating and heating in the cold northern regions.
The second, Baoyu No 9 high-starch corn new variety industrialization and high-quality and high-efficiency technology demonstration project is a key project from the China Spark Program.
Baoyu No 9 is a new high-starch corn variety developed by the Baotou academy of agricultural sciences that has a crude starch content of 76 percent, which is a typical high-starch variety.
The project was established and optimized by the Baoyu No 9 set of seed production technical regulations, which significantly improved the yield and quality of seed production.
