The newly-built stations, which are located in Huangheshao town and Yulin town in Saihan district and Baoheshao town in Xincheng district, monitor six meteorological elements. The six elements are wind direction, wind speed, temperature, humidity, precipitation and air pressure. All three stations have been debugged and put into operation officially.

The meteorological stations complement the National Ground-Based Observation Net. They will be utilized for rainstorm monitoring, agriculture, governmental decision-making, transportation and tourism development.
