CPPCC Inner Mongolia Committee submits 758 proposals in 2013
The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee of the CPPCC has submitted 758 proposals for the region’s development in 2013, according to the second session of the CPPCC’s regional committee on Jan 14.
Of the total proposals, 720 of them were recorded. The members of the CPPCC’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee put forward 550 proposals, with a participation rate of 63.3 percent. The other participants, including democratic parties, federations of industry and commerce, and functional constituencies, submitted 170 proposals.
As of Dec 20, 2013, 99.3 percent of the proposals were replied to. The adopted proposals accounted for 15.5 percent of the total, and 72.1 percent of them will be adopted, according to Guo Qijun, vice-chairman of the CPPCC’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee. Guo said that the region’s policies and plans have absorbed some opinions and advice from the proposals, actively benefiting the region’s steady development. Made from a comprehensive, overall and forward-looking viewpoint, some proposals were significant to macro policy-making.
