The performance was hosted by the organizing committee of the China Inner Mongolia Grassland Culture Festival and organized by the Ulanmuqi cultural troupe from Uxin Banner.

A Black Satin Sleeveless Jacket was adapted from a traditional folk song in Ordos that features a love tragedy. The drama presents the historical background, social environment and local customs in the west Ordos area in the middle of the 18th century. It also describes the lives and destinies of two common herdsmen’s families.

Focusing on the symbol of a black satin sleeveless jacket, the drama is divided into five episodes.
