2014-07-30 (chinadaily.com.cn)

Inner Mongolia’s Food Safety Committee launched an inspection on refrigeration houses on July 25 to ensure local meat safety. The move aimed to eliminate illegal refrigeration services and set the meat market in order.

The inspection targeted unidentified meat or meat with no animal quarantine, meat quality inspection certificates or import licenses. In addition, meat with a tampered production date or that is going bad will be sealed up. The region will trace the origins of all the questionable meat and bring illegal practices to justice.
