S&T pushes equipment manufacturing industry in Inner Mongolia
As proposed in the Inner Mongolia “8337” development strategy, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region will be forged into a new-type industrial base for non-ferrous metal processing and manufacturing of modern equipment. Therefore, Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co is carrying out this innovation-driven development strategy, thus achieving the objectives of the "8337" strategy.
The launch of new products fills a vacancy
On June 15, the first unit of the 70-ton 7008LC large hydraulic excavator developed independently by Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Co (IMNHIGC) was successfully launched, filling China’s vacancy for large-tonnage mining shovels through independent research and development.
On April 20, the EBZ132 drive-by-wire roadheader newly-developed by IMNHIGC completed the last adjustment process. The unmanned roadheader can realize remote control via the operating station at hand. The control distance can reach a length of 400 meters and a depth of 100 meters.
On February 26, IMNHIGC’s self-developed P92 steel tube passed the 168-hour test at the 1,000-megawatt supercritical No 2 thermal power generating unit in Nantong Power Plant under China Huaneng Group. It was officially placed into the grid for power generation. Thus, China’s reliance on imported critical material for the thermal power generating unit above a million kilowatts has ended. This is a milestone to the independent R&D of electric utilities and the revitalization of the equipment manufacturing industry in China.
