A survey team from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) studied new-energy industrial development in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Oct 10 during a special seminar focused on the same topic.

Huang Rong, chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and leader of the survey team, and Yang Chengwang, vice-chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Inner Mongolia Committee, were on hand at the seminar.

The survey team sought to learn the development status of Inner Mongolia’s new-energy industry, the difficulties confronted by privately-owned enterprises in the industry and the main problems that restrain photovoltaic industry growth. The team also proposed solutions and advice for these problems.

The development status of the autonomous region’s new energy, such as wind energy and photovoltaic energy, was introduced by the responding units of the region’s development and reform commission as well as the economy and information technology commission at the seminar. Some representatives of new-energy enterprises were also present to discuss new-energy development.

Inner Mongolia has ample advantages in new energy, a competitive industrial foundation and favorable policy environment, according to the survey team’s opinion. They encouraged the region to make policies on a long-term basis and to promote new-energy industry development.
