The world intangible cultural heritages concerts tour, featuring matouqin (or horse-head fiddle), Mongolian throat singing and Mongolian long tune, started on Nov 29, with shows in Minzu University of China, the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts and the China Conservatory. The last stop was Capital Normal University.

The concert included 11 tracks, featuring both original and modern characteristics.

"This concert is a work of ideas. It not only features distinguished traditional Mongolian cultures, but also transforms cultural heritages into education sources," according to a lecturer from the China Conservatory.

Liu Yulin, head of Inner Mongolia University's art college, described the concert tour as a success. "We can feel that the audience on hand at the concert is very fond of ethnic music. This show gives us much confidence in promoting traditional ethnic music," Li said.
