Inner Mongolia rescuers go to Nepal for relief work

A rescue team of eight rescuers from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region started for quake-stricken Nepal on April 28.

This is the first Inner Mongolian non-governmental rescue team after Nepal was struck by a severe earthquake on April 25.

"As a rescuer, I deeply understand what a disaster will bring to their homes. So I assembled a group of rescuers in two days, and we've already obtained approval to enter Nepal from One Foundation Rescue League and went through pre-training in Beijing," said Guo Qiang, leader of this rescue team.

Guo's team will join rescuers from other provinces in Lhasa, Tibet and head for Nepal together on April 29.
