Exhibitors from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region have signed 119 contracts worth 245 million yuan ($39.52 million) at the 11th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) that concluded on May 18.

Twenty cultural enterprises in fields such as cultural creativity, arts, animation and ethnic handicrafts, took part in this year's ICIF, 14 of which attended for the first time, according to Wu Shaojun, an official of the region's department of culture. These enterprises' sales volume on site totaled nearly 5 million yuan.

"Science, technology and creativity are the main trends of current cultural industries. The region will also prioritize these trends and transfer the region's cultural resources into products and services," said Wu, explaining the direction of cultural industries' development.
