Artworks by well-known artists on display in IMNU

An exhibition of over 200 paintings by well-known Chinese artists, Sun Zhijun, Li Xiaolin and Zhao Wenhua was held in Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) on May 14 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the university's arts disciplines.

IMNU's arts education started in 1954. The university is recognized a cradle for the region's arts education and a center for artistic creation after 60 years, said Yong Guohong, president of IMNU.

Liu Dawei, chairman of China Artists Association was present at the exhibition's opening ceremony. As a graduate of IMNU, he introduced the development of the arts. To date, the university has cultivated a group of outstanding artists.

Just like Liu, Sun and Zhao were also graduates of IMNU. Sun's works are featuring grassland, and Zhao tends to describe the phenomena in modern cities. Li's works are mostly inspired by the grassroots people's lives.
