The human resources and social security bureau of the city of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia has reported on its employment activity for 2015 by saying that it surpassed its job opportunity goals with more flexible employment through enterprise recruiting, projects, services, and entrepreneurships.

The city found work for 40,936 urbanites, just above the goal of 40,000, helping 8,727 unemployed people, at 116.36 percent above the year's target, and 6,831 with employment difficulties or 110.18 percent higher. The urban unemployment rate now stands at 3.56 percent, well within the 3.8-percent goal.

Hohhot also put some effort into rural labor transfers to find more employment through various ways in 2015. The government says that it made full of its labor safeguard system in villages, and provided hiring information, policy advice, and services for migrant workers and stepped-up employment training for migrant workers to facilitate transfers, improve their skills or provide new skills, and came up with related policies and looked for ways to encourage migrant workers to return home to start a business.
