At the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's football grand ceremony for 2015, in Hohhot recently, the Qingshan district of Baotou got a commendation for its efforts in boosting the sport, Baotou Daily reported on Jan 18, noting that the district got outstanding district honors for promoting the sport in schools in Inner Mongolia.

Other winners were the Saihan district of Hohhot, Alukeerqin Banner in Chifeng, and the Jalaid Banner in Hinggan League. Baotou says its districts have worked hard in recent years to promote football in schools and have got good results.
