2016-01-25 (chinadaily.com.cn)

The Inner Mongolia autonomous region plans to open more sports facilities to meet the public demand with longer opening hours and less entry fee, by keeping them open no less than 35 hours a week and no less than 330 days a year with a low entry fee.

The new "Inner Mongolia autonomous region Measures", which take effect on Feb 10, will stay in place for 5 years. Public sports facilities and stadiums and gymnasiums will open no less than 8 hours a day on holidays and during the summer and winter vacations. Outdoor facilities are expected to be free and open no less than 12 hours a day all year round. If they are closed to the public for maintenance, security, training, weather, or for whatever other reason, this must be announced to the public 7 days in advance.

Inner Mongolia is also encouraging institutions to build more public sports facilities and to keep them open for free or a low fee. Schools are also expected to open theirs to students when they are out of class, and to the public on holidays and during summer and winter vacations. Other sports facilities backed by the government but run by schools should also be open to the public in a similar way for teaching purposes.
