The city of Hulunbeir, Inner Mongolia held the Fourth Exposition of Organic Agricultural and Husbandry Products, on Aug 7, where a lot of visitors were stopping at one booth that was promoting bottled air at 68 yuan ($10.2) a liter, produced by the Global Outlook Biotechnology Co, of Hulunbeir.

A manager of that company, Chen Zhiquan, explained that the heavy forest coverage of Hulunbeir makes it a natural "oxygen bar", then added, "We collect the air from a primeval forest in Genhe from 1:00 to 3:00 pm every day then immediately bottle it so consumers can inhale the freshest organic air of Hulunbeir."

A visitor commented, "I plan to purchase two containers to use as spare air on smoggy days. It feels like stepping into a forest when I breathe the bottled air."

One other Hulunbeir company, Blue Sky E-commerce, produces bottled air for convenience of carrying, and resistance to high-temperature, high pressure, and damage, and one employee explains, "The air comes from White Deer Island near Hulunbeir, where the oxygen is 60 times the WHO standard."

The bottled air made its first appearance on the market this past May, and in spite of the fact that it's a bit expensive, it has found favor among customers across the nation, particularly in big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
