On Sept 12, the Fifth National Ethnic Cultural and Arts Gala was held at the Poly Theater in Beijing, during which members of the Ulanmuchi troupe performed a fabulous vaudeville on the stage.

Ulanmuchi, a song and dance troupe from Inner Mongolia, has played a role in the spread of Mongolian ethnic culture and arts for many years.

Founded in 1957 on Mongol grasslands, Ulanmuchi now has expanded to 46 small ensembles, with over 2,800 singers and dancers in total. It has taken part in various events both in China and abroad.

For decades, Ulanmuchi has been dedicated to putting on diverse performances reflecting Mongolian history and traditional nomadic customs, vividly reproducing the spirit of Mongolian ethnic groups.
