The youth palace was built using a million yuan ($147,600) donated by the Hohhot Xinhai Mingyue Transportation Company, a strategic partnership of Mengniu Dairy Group.

It was designed, constructed, and equipped over the course of three months and was eventually completed at the end of August.

The youth palace is focused around experiential activities and organizes diverse themed events, including ballet dancing, electronic organ recitals, model airplane flying shows, and ukulele classes. In all, it provides 22 multi-formed events for more than five hundred pupils in the primary school.

The construction of the children’s palace in the countryside has filled an obvious gap in extracurricular education for pupils at rural areas, and has promoted a well-rounded and quality-oriented educational system, which benefits the local youth by digging out their potential interests and talents.

So far, Saihan district has set up 11 children’s palaces, and they are supported by financial aid from China’s central government, the regional lottery public welfare funds, local subsidies, and private donations.
