Baotou beckons E China tourists

Baotou held a promotional tourism event in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on May 8, hoping to attract more visitors from the East China city to the northern climes of Inner Mongolia.

Contrasting Wuxi’s water town atmosphere, Baotou represents China’s sprawling nomadic grassland culture.

Hosted by the tourism bureau of Baotou, the event showcased the city’s many major tourist attractions such as Wudang Lamasery, Nanhai Wetlands, and Meidai Monastery.

At the event, visitors from Wuxi were offered discounts and incentives on the trips to Baotou, and tour operators from both sides signed cooperation agreements – the partnerships opening up more opportunities for cultural exchanges.
