Bayannur hosts dragon boat racing

Bayannur in Inner Mongolia autonomous region held a dragon boat race on the Yellow River to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival on May 30.

The race attracted 27 teams from Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shanghai, Hunan, Zhejiang, Yunnan as well as other provinces and cities.

Bayannur is rich in water resources, making it ideal for dragon boat racing. Dragon boat racing is a traditional event popular in South China. In recent years, the event has also become popular in the northern cities.
