Inner Mongolia arts shine in Shanghai
Artists from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region brought spectacular arts shows to the 19th China Shanghai International Arts Festival from Oct 20-21.
The arts festival kicked off on Oct 20 and will last until Nov 19, attracting over 465 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and regions.
Artists from the region brought performances including khoomei (throat-singing), and ethnic singing and dancing, thrilling audiences at the arts festival.
Inner Mongolia’s culture and art will get unprecedented attention and promotion at this year’s arts festival. The Inner Mongolia themed exhibition hall is set to showcase ethnic cultures, and classical performances will be promoted to arts festivals and performances companies from other countries. In addition, two special Inner Mongolia singing and dancing performances will be staged at Shanghai Grand Theatre from Nov 13-14.
Promotion activities at the arts festival will help arts from Inner Mongolia go global. The region will explore further cooperation with Shanghai in cultural and arts exchanges.
