2017-12-05

More than 200 artists from Ulanmuchi (Ulan Muqir) troupe have been preparing for the coming vaudeville performances which will be held in Hohhot during December, as part of celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the troupe.

Founded in 1957 on the Mongolian grasslands, Ulanmuchi has now expanded to 46 small ensembles, with a total of nearly 3,000 singers and dancers. It has taken part in various events both at home and abroad. Ulanmuchi, a song and dance troupe from Inner Mongolia, has played a role in spreading Mongolian ethnic culture and art over the past few decades.
