Ren Yaping reviews five-year CPPCC work report

Ren Yaping, chairman of the standing presidium of the 11th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), delivered on Jan 23 a work report reviewing submitted proposals and political suggestions offered over the past five years.

More than 12,000 opinions were collected from residents and 1,729 proposals were submitted to the region’s CPPCC committee, Ren reported at the first plenary session of the 12th CPPCC Inner Mongolia Committee in Hohhot.

The committee members focused on the censorship of the past five years’ adopted proposals and the schedule for 2018’s new proposals.

Ren acknowledged that Inner Mongolia’s significant progress boosted regional strength and economic growth in 2017, and that the region is planning further efforts to improve its economy, its culture and its peoples’ livelihoods, with further sustainable development expected in the future.
