The 2017 Football Grand Ceremony was held at Inner Mongolia Bureau of National Art Troupes in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Feb 5.

Li Jianmin, Party member of the General Administration of Sport of China and Bai Xiangqun, vice-chairman of Inner Mongolia autonomous region attended the ceremony.

Awards including Best Coach, Referee of the Year, Best Campus Football Team, Football Journalist of the Year, and Footballer of the Year were announced during the annual event.

The ceremony has been held for the past three years since Inner Mongolia was chosen as a pilot region for China’s football reform and development in September 2014.

During the past three years, Inner Mongolia has made great achievements in promoting football reform.

It released a medium and long-term plan for the regional development of the sport.

The region also established the Opening Day for Campus Football and the league system of the sport, leading the nation in pushing forward the popularization of campus football.
