2018-03-29

Ding Kuanliang, a photographer from Inner Mongolia, won the Glanzlichter during the 20th German International Nature Photography Awards in the mammal section on March 27.

The German Glanzlichter award has been sponsored by the German National Photography Association since its establishment in 1999.

Barbara Hendricks, Germany's Federal Minister of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, is the sponsor of recent photography competitions.

The event organizer Mara K. Fuhrmann is also the founder of the Fürstenfelder Naturfototage Photography Festival, one of the largest and most influential nature photography festivals in Europe.

Ding is keen on photographing wild primates in China, especially snub-nosed monkeys. He is a senior member of China Wildlife Conservation Association, a member of Inner Mongolia Photographer Association, and the director of Inner Mongolia Wildlife Conservation Society.
