Inner Mongolia Normal University (IMNU) signed a framework agreement with Minzu University of China (MUC) in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 13. Both sides are cooperating to build a Mongolian language big data research center at IMNU.

Yun Guohong, IMNU president, and Huang Taiyan, MUC president unveiled the plaque for the center at the signing ceremony.

The center works to update the national minority language corpus and Mongolian-Chinese educational materials corpus by sorting out Mongolian language resources from popular media platforms, including print media (newspapers, books and magazines), network media and electronic media.

IMNU and MUC will work together to monitor and conduct research on the development of Mongolian language. Related achievements will be reported to State Language Commission, serving as references when drafting policies for the minority and supporting Mongolian language informatization.
