The Information Office of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region held a press conference to introduce implementation plans for emerging industries' high-quality development in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Nov 28.

According to the plans, Inner Mongolia is determined to eliminate backward and low-end excess capacity, focus on innovation and development, and improve the quality and efficiency of development. It aims to construct a new modern industrial system with multiple developments and levels of supports to promote the high-quality development of emerging industries.

By 2020, the industrial output value of emerging industries in Inner Mongolia will reach 275 billion yuan ($39.62 billion), accounting for 13 percent of the total industrial output value.
