IM reports rapid growth in transport infrastructure

According to statistics from the government of Inner Mongolia, the region's transportation industry is developing at a rapid pace. At present, the length of railways in the region exceeds 14,000 kilometers, ranking first in China.

In addition, the total length of highways in Inner Mongolia measures 190,000 km and there are 27 civil airports, providing convenient transport links to all parts of the region.  

With the start of trial operations of the Xintong (Xinminbei-Tongliao) high-speed railway, Inner Mongolia is now connected to the national high-speed rail network. The eastern part of the autonomous region is expected to be connected to the high-speed rail network in the near future.
