Forum on ice and snow sports in Arxan was held in Arxan, Hinggan League of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Dec 22.

The forum, organized by Chinese Skiing Association,  Inner Mongolia Sports Bureau, and government of Arxan city, attracted hundreds of experts and representatives from the sports industry to discuss innovative methods to promote the quality development of the ice and snow industry.

The forum plays a significant role in drawing on the wisdom from the masses for the 2020 Winter Olymics and China's 14th National Winter Games.

Arxan has rich tourism resources such as snow, grasslands and springs, making it an ideal place for developing ice and snow industry.

It sees a wide participation of ice and snow sports across the city.

The city has ski resorts of national standard for training and entertainment. In 2003, it was approved as a training base for freestyle skiing training and has developed numerous skiers.

According to the forum, the booming snow sports in China will help promote the tourism sector in Arxan.
