Ereenhot port achieves record freight volume

According to local authorities, the total volume of imports and exports processed by the Ereenhot Railway Port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region was 3.89 million tons, an increase of 7.3 percent over the same period last year.
The import volume was 3.27 million tons, an increase of 7.8 percent year-on-year, while the export volume was 357,800 tons, an increase of 0.2 percent. A total of 390 Sino-Euro freight trains passed through the port, an increase of 25 percent over the same period last year.
Since the beginning of this year, in response to the urgent need for foreign goods from Mongolia and Russia, the port has strengthened coordination and cooperation with various departments, optimized transportation procedures, increased efficiency, and maintained continuous growth in imports and exports.
