A festival focusing on Inner Mongolian food and local culture was held in Zhenglan Banner, Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Aug 18.

The festival coincided with the local Nadam (Mongolian for "recreation") Fair and aimed to give visitors a taste of the autonomous region’s cuisine. 

The fair gives people an opportunity to enjoy local food, enjoy wrestling matches, listen to live music, and watch dance performances while taking in the expansive grassland scenery.

The festival has also brought in extra money for more than 30 local herdsman households.
