The opening ceremony for the 16th China (Manzhouli) North International High-Tech Exposition (CNIHE) was held in Manzhouli, Hulunbuir, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 10, aiming to strengthen opening up, deepen international scientific and technological cooperation, and accelerate technology transfers and the commercialization of research findings.

Throughout its 15-year history, the CNIHE has become one of North China's largest and most important exhibitions.

The slogan for this year's expo is "enhance mutual trust, deepen cooperation, learn from each other, promote coordinated development", and it consists of two venues with 12 exhibition areas. About 20 universities and 24 research institutions, high-tech enterprises, and experts from China, Russia and Mongolia are participating in the event.

A number of forums and conferences will be held during the expo for experts to discuss scientific and technological development.
