The 4th Inner Mongolia Culture Industry Expo Fair opened on Sept 20 with thousands of cultural products on display.

The fair has an exhibition area of 28,000 square meters and features eight themed exhibition halls, including a culture industry hall, Mongolian horse hall, and design hall.

Twenty-five Mongolian yurt models were exhibited at the Mongolian horse exhibition hall, and according to local media reports, the yurt models will be applied in practice.

Zhang Lin, who visited the expo fair, said that the Mongolian yurt is one of the most iconic elements of grassland culture in Inner Mongolia.

“Mongolian yurts, Morin Khuur, and local costumes are all new to me. It's awesome that Inner Mongolia has preserved these traditional characteristics,” said Chen Xiya, a 24-year-old designer from Taiwan.

This was Chen's first time in Inner Mongolia. She was one of eight designers from the Industrial Design Association in Taiwan to be invited to the fair.

The fair was also focused on improving regional cooperation in the culture industry. Over 120 major culture companies from Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang were invited to the event.

Organizers have also invited leading artists from nearly 20 countries, including Japan, Russia, India, and Greece, to display cultural products.

The fair featured an exhibition area for cultural products from museums as well, including the Palace Museum, Dunhuang Academy, Shaanxi History Museum, and Suzhou Museum.

Lipstick designed by the Palace Museum, paper sculptures from the Duhuang Academy, and a variety of other distinctive cultural products from museums across the country were displayed at the fair.
