Baotou’s kids embrace Mongolian traditions
Kids at a Baotou Mongolian Kindergarten learn about Mongolian tea ceremonies in a Mongolian yurt -- a skin or felt-covered dwelling used by local nomads -- on Nov 19. The kindergarten, established in 1958, now covers 8,573 square meters with a construction area of 6,971 sq m. The kindergarten added a Mongolian language class in September 2009, the first offered at the kindergarten level in Baotou. The kindergarten now offers 17 classes for its 520 students.
