Baotou’s kids embrace Mongolian traditions

Children demonstrate Bokh skills at Baotou Mongolian Kindergarten, Nov 19. Teachers explained the costumes and rules of the Bokh game and the children experienced the charms of the game. Bokh is Mongolian wrestling. The word Bokh means united, strong and enduring in the Mongolian language. Wrestling is one of "the three games of men" for the Mongolian ethnic group. The sport, along with horsemanship and archery, forms the basis of the competition at the region’s Nadam Fair, which is held annually in midsummer. [Photo/Baotou Evening News]
