The Baotou New Media Makerspace has moved to a new location, with the relocation ceremony held on Nov 24, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.

The makerspace, founded in July 2016, now boasts a total construction area of about 1,600 square meters. A multi-functional theater with 400 seats, entrepreneur's office space, joint office area and project roadshow area were all set up in the makerspace.

Officials said that 200M fiber access helps provide rich innovation resources for the makerspace.

According to officials, so far, a total of 23 enterprises have settled in the makerspace.

The operate in areas including new media operations, children's play performances, drama training, information technology, cultural creativity, animation, e-commerce, technical support, advertising releases and brand event planning services.

Officials said the makerspace has provided employment for 135 people, including 57 college and university graduates.
