The third Ulan Butung Grassland Horse Culture Photography Festival – part of the 13th Hexigten Winter Tourism Festival – clearly excited the crowds as it kicked off in Ulan Butung Grassland in Hexigten Banner, Chifeng, in Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Jan 6.

During the three-day event, ethnic activities including dazzling feats of horsemanship, horse races and galloping at full speed to scoop up a Hada on the ground -- a piece of silk cloth used as a greeting gift among the Tibetan and Mongolian ethnic groups -- will take place.
