Inner Mongolia’s tech innovation achieves remarkable development
North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region pursued its innovation-driven development strategy and achieved noticeable success in various areas with the help of high and new technologies in 2019, according to local officials.
Strategic directions and plans were established to spur innovation, to further drive high-speed and high-quality economic development.
Officials said that technological innovation has now become the key success factor, leading to wide-ranging discussions recently among deputies and members at the third session of the 13th People’s Congress of Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the third session of the 12th Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference
“Clean energy is our greatest strength and we have confidence in being a bellwether in the employment of it,” said Li, a member of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of Hanover Cooperation in Baotou.
Inner Mongolia recently signed a series of cooperation agreements with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to among other things further accelerate the promotion of strategic research.
At the signing, it was agreed that high-quality technological innovation was critical to the development of Inner Mongolia.
Meanwhile, the first phase of the Ulanqab wind farm to be operated by SPIC Nei Mongol Energy Co Ltd started construction. On completion, it will be the world's largest onshore wind farm, officials said.
In addition, the world's first 5G unmanned mining truck started working in Bayan Obo.
Officials said that Inner Mongolia has made great progress in technological innovation, both in quantity and quality, due to its scientific planning.
They said that with the dramatic changes in science and technology that have taken place there, it was not difficult to recognize the significant efforts that scientific and technical workers have made and imagine the bright future in store for Inner Mongolia.
