The Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia autonomous region held a donation drive to help fund the battle against the coronavirus, encouraging people to fight against the epidemic on January 30.

Bu Xiaolin, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Inner Mongolia and honorary president of the Red Cross Society of Inner Mongolia, attended the event and handed out certificates to the donors.

The Red Cross Society received a total of 121 million yuan ($17.44 million) in donations from three companies: 60 million yuan from Yili Industrial Group, a local dairy giant; 60 million yuan from Mengniu Group, another leading dairy business; and 1 million yuan from the Rural Credit Cooperatives.
