More than 1,300 herdsmen in the areas around Chifeng city, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, began the annual trek to their summer ranches on June 1. The change of location allows them to access sufficient feed for their livestock and helps the pastures recover from their animals’ winter grazing.
