2020-07-02

North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region has achieved great results with its online investment promotions activities – drawing in billions of dollars – according to recent comments made by the region’s development and reform commission.

Statistics from the commission revealed that from April 1 to June 6, Inner Mongolia held 81 online promotion events and issued 274 news releases.

The events had more than 4,000 direct participants and were viewed by more than 10 million people.

During the two-month period, 2,333 companies participated in the investment match-making activities, which saw 227 business projects signed up with a staggering total investment volume of 322.16 billion yuan ($45.56 billion).

To facilitate the prompt release of investment information, the development and feform commission has also set up a special page on its official website.

Inner Mongolia had launched its first batch of 193 key business cooperation projects, officials said.

These involve equipment manufacturing, production and processing of green agricultural and livestock products, the cultural and tourism industries, metallurgy, building materials, logistics and modern service industries, with a total investment of 377.8 billion yuan.

Officials said these projects promise strong growth potential, a stable return on investment and are in line with the national industrial policy and the transformation and development direction of Inner Mongolia’s industry.

Additionally, Inner Mongolia has explored promoting its regional investment environment, economic cooperation projects and business and investment incentive policies through multiple online video platforms.

These channels are focused on the fields in new energy, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, big data, culture and tourism.
