Ethnic culture on display at exhibition in Hohhot

An exhibition displaying Inner Mongolia’s traditional crafts and cultural creative products began on Sept 6 at the Inner Mongolia Exhibition Center in Hohhot, the capital city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Sponsored by the culture and tourism department of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the exhibition is open to the public free of charge. It is scheduled to last for a long time.
Two exhibition halls have been set up, one featuring traditional crafts and the other showcasing modern creations.
The traditional craft exhibition hall mainly displays intangible heritage items from Inner Mongolia, including textiles and embroidery pieces, clothing, paper art, pictures and drawings, appliances, sculptures and metal products.
The modern creation exhibition hall focuses on the cultural and creative achievements of Inner Mongolia in recent years. It is divided into areas covering lifestyle accessories, stationery, clothing accessories, replica products, ceramic cultural creations, enterprise series products and creative design works from colleges.
More than 1,000 types of cultural items from 120 exhibitors are on display.
