A modern biotechnology industry base is to be developed in Horinger New Area in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, with a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement signed on Sept 7, according to local media reports.

The base, to be developed by Beijing Bohui Innovation Biotechnology Co, is expected to process 2,000 tons of raw plasma annually upon going into operation.

The project includes a full set of combined production lines including microfluidic detection and analysis instruments, chips and supporting reagents, a biotechnology research and development center, and a production base that processes 2,000 tons of raw plasma.

The completion of the project will provide technical support for Hohhot's food safety work, inspection and quarantine, disease diagnosis and monitoring and other fields. At the same time, it will also fill the gap in the autonomous region's blood product industry.

Established in 2001, Beijing Bohui Innovation Biotechnology Co is a biomedical high-tech enterprise integrating R&D, production, sales and after-sales service.

During the epidemic prevention and control period, the company actively provided technical support and material and equipment guarantees for Hohhot's epidemic prevention and control work.
